Job Description:​

We are seeking an experienced front office/patient coordinator to own front-desk operations and patient experience in a new dental practice. This role is critical to practice growth, cash flow and brand reputation. The ideal candidate is proactive, knowledgeable with insurance, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a startup environment. Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a professional, welcoming patient experience from first contact through checkout

  • Manage a productive daily schedule for a solo-doctor practice, including confirmations and filling cancellations

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; explain coverage and patient responsibility clearly

  • Present treatment estimates and financial options in a clear, respectful, and non-pressured manner

  • Coordinate treatment plans by reviewing recommended care with patients, answering questions, and scheduling follow-up visits

  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at time of service

  • Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the practice management system

  • Close daily reports, reconcile payments, and monitor insurance and patient

  • Take ownership of front-office workflows and contribute to building efficient systems as the practice grows

 

Schedule:
The practice will open with a consistent four-day schedule, including 3 Saturdays per month, with a clear plan to expand as patient volume grows.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of dental office front experience

  • Strong insurance knowledge (PPO heavy environment)

  • Confident phone and patient communication skills

  • Experience with scheduling for production

  • Self-starter mindset; comfortable in a startup environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

  • Experience with startup dental offices a big plus

  • Some experience as a dental assistant is strongly preferred
