The Growing City of Leander, TX: New Developments & Future Vision

Updated: Aug 9

Leander, located about 27 miles northwest of Austin, is among the fastest-growing small cities in the United States. Its population surged from around 56,000 in 2019 to over 80,000 in 2023—and projections show it could reach 130,000 by 2040. Thanks to excellent schools, affordable housing, and easy access to Austin, the city continues to attract young families and professionals.

Why It Matters

These developments support Leander’s goal of creating a walkable, mixed-use regional center—offering jobs, shopping, entertainment, transit, and services within a growing residential base. With U.S. News recently ranking Leander the 3rd best small city in the U.S. to live in for 2025–2026, the city's trajectory is both ambitious and community-oriented. Noble Dental is very happy to be part of Leander's growing community.
